Presho livestock sales report
The Presho Livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 3,066 head Dec. 6, compared to 4,357 head last week and 3,700 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Trends were not applicable as the last feeder sale was three weeks ago. Several potloads were on offer. Some weaned calves were on offer. All the calves had fall shots. The offering included 70% feeders were 600 pounds and over, 64% steers, 33% was heifers, 35% bred cows. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 11 head, 410 to 420 lbs., 133.50 to 134.00 (133.82); 466 to 491 lbs., 129.75 to 139.00 (133.82); 508 to 539 lbs., 122.75 to 130.00 (127.34); 553 to 592 lbs., 113.25 to 121.00 (116.74); 604 to 648 lbs., 109.75 to 117.75 (114.08) calves; 651 to 699 lbs., 107.00 to 111.25 (108.73) calves; 665 to 686 lbs., 113.75 fancy; 702 to 734 lbs., 107.50 to 107.75 (107.70) calves; 770 to 775 lbs., 103.00 to 105.50 (103.47) calves; 7 head, 839 lbs., 102.00 calves; 16 head, 884 lbs., 104.10. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 10 head, 412 lbs., 121.00; 16 head, 510 to 544 lbs., 111.00 to 117.00 (112.11); 38 head, 593 lbs., 105.50; 613 to 624 lbs., 105.25 to 109.00 (107.89) calves. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 452 to 499 lbs., 115.00 to 124.00 (117.13); 521 to 547 lbs., 110.25 to 116.00 (113.14); 555 to 593 lbs., 104.00 to 107.50 (106.55); 602 to 649 lbs., 100.00 to 107.25 (104.38) calves; 622 to 649 lbs., 111.50 to 112.00 (111.90) fancy; 76 head, 676 lbs., 102.85 calves; 13 head, 747 lbs., 105.25; 716 to 746 lbs., 92.75 to 99.00 (96.31) calves; 12 head, 896 lbs., 98.25; 924 to 947 lbs., 95.75 to 99.85 (99.55).
