Aberdeen cattle sales report
The Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 5,194 head Dec. 12, compared to 5,905 head last week and 5,219 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers sold mostly steady with a moderate undertone. Heifers sold $1 to $4 higher. Steers comprised 58% of the run, heifers 42%, with 61% over 600 pounds.
