Automated Safety Hitch

AUTOMATED SAFETY HITCH--American Automation Technologies, Inc., Richardson, Texas, introduces the Automated Safety Hitch, which uses a steerable truck axle that becomes an integral part of the trailer and attaches itself to the truck automatically. Using a handheld controller, users back a truck to within a few feet of the trailer and then connect the safety chains and press the switch on the controller. The trailer is then slowly and safely pulled to, and attached to the vehicle. The stout support gear automatically retracts and two safety pins are inserted into the latch assemblies. The user plugs in the electrical cord and the trailer is hitched. To detach, users unplug the power cord, depress a switch on the handheld controller and put the latches into the unlatched position. A lever releases the hitch and it disconnects while support gear comes down to support the trailer. For more information, call 940-320-3008, or visit www.safetyhitch.com.
