Vermeer Rakes

RAKES--Vermeer Manufacturing Co., Pella, Iowa, introduces the Powered Splitter option for its R2800 and R2300 TwinRakes. The Powered Splitter can improve forage quality by promoting cleaner pickup, fast uniform dry-down and fluffy windrows. It is helpful in tedded, swathed or windrowed hay that has been rained upon, or in situations where three windrows are being raked together. It allows the center swath to be lifted, spread and combined with the rest of the crop before it's raked into a windrow. The Powered Splitter consists of a set of matching hydraulically powered rotors located up front near the hitch and centered in-between the TwinRake basket assemblies. The twin rotors have a 4.5-ft working width, float up to 6 inches and can be locked up and stored when not needed. Rubber-mounted teeth (16), mounted on the rotors, gently sweep and lift the hay. For more information, call 800-370-3659, or visit www.vermeerag.com.
