Watertown cattle sales report
The South Dakota Livestock Sales, Watertown, S.D., reported receipts of 1,500 head Dec. 5, compared to 1,200 head last week and 1,500 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder heifers were steady to $1 higher, while feeder steers were $2 to $4 lower. Feeder steers made up 48% of the sale, feeder heifers 52% with 66% over 600 pounds.
