South Central direct sheepThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Nov. 30, showed receipts of 200 feeder lambs and 600 slaughter meat goats, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Trading was at a near standstill in the area. Available lambs were limited. There were no slaughter lambs. Slaughter ewes and replacement ewes were not tested. No good comparison was available on slaughter meat goats. Buyers and sellers were taking a wait and see attitude. Feeder lambs: Texas, 200 head, Medium and large frame 2, 50 lbs., 102.00. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, Texas, 600 head, Selection 1, 50 lbs., 117.00 for specialty order. Date: 12/6/07
