Lexington livestock sales
The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 2,300 head Nov. 30, compared to 2,550 head last year, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb. Compared with two weeks ago, based on a narrow test, comparable offerings trended steady to $2 higher with instances of weaned precondition calves trending $4 to $5 higher. Demand was moderate to good and trade activity moderate. Receipts consisted of 61% steers and 39% heifers with 37% of the total weighing over 600 pounds.
