Dunlap livestock sales report
The Dunlap Livestock Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 694 head Nov. 30, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special preconditioned cattle sale. Demand was moderate. A light run was in the offering today. The cattle were carrying some fill with the upcoming winter storm. Compared to the Nov. 16, sale, the market trended steady with a higher undertone noted on a limited offering. Receipts included 59% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 42% heifers and 48% steers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 454 to 498 lbs., 121.00 to 130.00 (125.48); 18 head, 520 to 544 lbs., 119.00 to 123.00 (122.33); 11 head, 570 to 585 lbs., 108.00 to 114.00 (110.45) fleshy; 602 to 634 lbs., 110.00 to 116.50 (112.98) calves; 605 to 642 lbs., 106.00 to 108.00 (106.76) fleshy; 650 to 695 lbs., 108.00 to 112.75 (109.49) calves; 13 head, 715 to 732 lbs., 107.00 to 107.50 (107.23) calves; 9 head, 763 to 780 lbs., 104.25 to 106.75 (106.20) calves; 12 head, 817 to 818 lbs., 104.25 to 106.00 (105.56). Feeder Holstein steers: Large frame 3, 9 head, 406 lbs., 80.75; 6 head, 688 lbs., 72.75.
