Colorado cattle sales report
The Colorado Auction Feeder Cattle Summary, Greeley, Colo., Nov. 30, reported receipts of 5,600 head, compared to 3,550 head last week and 3,480 head last year, according to the USDA-Colorado Department of Agriculture Market News, Greeley, Colo. Compared to last week, feeder steers sold mostly $2 to $3 higher, instances were $5 higher on weights under 600 pounds. Feeder heifers were $1 to $3 higher. Demand was moderate to good, best demand for thin fleshed long weaned calves. This week saw increase of calves weaned over 45 days and pre-conditioned. The supply was made up of 57% feeder steers, the balance was feeder heifers, with about 32% of total supply over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1 300 to 340 lbs., 139.00 to 146.00; 350 to 370 lbs., 138.00 to 141.00; 410 to 440 lbs., 124.00 to 137.00; 450 to 490 lbs., 117.50 to 132.00; 500 to 540 lbs., 112.00 to 122.00; 550 to 590 lbs., 110.00 to 119.75; 600 to 640 lb. calves 105.50 to 114.50; 650 to 680 lb. calves 106.00 to 112.75; 700 to 740 lbs., 108.00 to 110.00; 750 to 780 lbs., 103.00 to 110.00; 800 to 860 lbs., 100.00 to 109.00; 900 to 940 lbs., 95.50 to 106.50. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 320 to 340 lbs., 130.00 to 131.00; 360 to 390 lbs., 125.00 to 133.50; 470 to 480 lbs., 118.50 to 121.00; 500 to 540 lbs., 108.50 to 115.00; 560 to 590 lbs., 101.50 to 111.00; 600 to 630 lb. calves 102.00 to 105.00; 650 to 680 lb. calves 100.00 to 104.50; 810 lbs., 96.00.
