CLS donates lot at Beef Expo

Kansas

Craig and Lori Scott of Ransom, owners of CLS Club Calves, have offered to donate the proceeds of the sale of Kansas Beef Expo Lot 1, CLS Loren, to the Kansas Shorthorn Association. The white, April 2007, heifer sired by CLS Maine Impression II will be a real sale attraction. The monies gained from this sale will be used to support the KSA's annual activities including the sponsorship of show premiums at various locations throughout the state.

In addition, ten Shorthorn breeders from all across Kansas have reached deep into the heart of their genetic programs and consigned a wide variety of lots including show prospects, breeding females, bulls, embryos, semen, and an embryo flush.

The sale will be held Dec. 8 at 5:30 p.m., inside the Prairie Pavilion on the Kansas State Fairgrounds, Hutchinson. The first of two Junior Shows will be held during the day Dec. 8, followed by a pen bull show at 4 p.m., and concluding the day's action will be the All Breeds Sale. The Kansas Beef Expo will conclude on Dec. 9 with the second day of the Junior Show. Visit www.kansasbeefexpo.net for a full schedule.

Plan to be in Hutchinson on Dec. 8, or watch the sale via the Internet at www.liveauctions.tv.
