Aberdeen cattle sales reportThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 5,905 head Dec. 5, compared to 5,817 head last week and 5,219 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to last week, feeder steers sold steady to $2 lower. Heifers sold $2 to $4 lower. Demand was moderate. Steers comprised 55% of the run, heifers 45%, with 53% over 600 pounds.
