1,800 gallons of diesel fuel reported stolen from farm

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa (AP)--Authorities were looking for suspects in the theft of 1,800 gallons of diesel fuel from a farm in Henry County.

Officials with the sheriff's office said the theft was discovered Nov. 26. Officials said the owner of the farm used 200 gallons of diesel fuel and was checking the tank, which holds 2,000 gallons.

The stolen diesel was valued at $3 a gallon, or about $5,400.
