Tulsa livestock sales reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 1,771 head July 30, compared to 2,172 head last week and 2,236 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steer calves were $3 to $5 higher, heifer calves were $2 to $3 higher except 500 to 600 pounds were $5 to $6 higher. Feeder cattle were $2 to $3 higher. Very active trade and good demand along with good attendance of buyers. Weigh-ups were mostly average. Mostly moderate flesh, few fleshy calves. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 225 cows and bulls sold with 60% going to packers.
