Texhoma cattle sales reportThe Texhoma Livestock Auction, Texhoma, Okla., reported receipts of 430 head July 25, compared to 717 head last week and 564 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were $1 higher. Feeder heifers and all calves not well tested. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to gaunt. The supply consisted of 64% steers, 30% heifers with 80% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady. A total of 30 cows and bulls sold with 70% going to packers. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 628 ., 116.50 calves; 6 head, 664 lbs., 123.00; 14 head, 716 to 741 lbs., 116.50 to 119.25 (118.25); 61 head, 779 lbs., 117.10; 112 head, 831 lbs., 115.35. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 12 head, 807 lbs., 114.00. Medium and large frame 2, 6 head, 613 lbs., 117.75. Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 2, 6 head, 464 lbs., 113.50. Feeder Holstein steers: Large frame 3, 6 head, 432 lbs., 88.50. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 7 head, 396 lbs., 126.00; 6 head, 473 lbs., 120.50; 5 head, 544 lbs., 117.00; 13 head, 554 to 562 lbs., 107.50 to 117.50 (114.39); 5 head, 599 lbs., 105.00 fleshy; 13 head, 628 lbs., 113.50; 5 head, 730 lbs., 105.50 calves; 18 head, 794 lbs., 107.00. Medium and large frame 2, 14 head, 739 lbs., 107.00; 14 head, 842 lbs., 100.00. Slaughter cows: Breakers, 2 head, 75 to 80% lean, 1375 to 1700 lbs., 47.00 to 51.50. Boners, 10 head, 80 to 85% lean, 1100 to 1500 lbs., 52.50 to 55.50; high dressing, 56.00 to 57.25; low dressing, 48.50 to 50.50.
