South Central direct sheepThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending July 20, showed receipts of 2,500 feeder lambs, and 500 slaughter meat goats, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last week, feeder lambs were weak to $5 lower. There were no slaughter lambs, Slaughter and replacement ewes were not tested. Slaughter meat goats, kids, were $10 lower. Trading and demand were moderate. Lambs are not as "bloomy" as they were a few weeks ago. Due to the wet weather this area has had, worms are a major problem. Feeder lambs: Texas, 2500 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 70 to 90 lbs., 95.00 to 100.00. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, Texas, 500 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 lbs., 95.00. 7/30/07 Date: 7/26/07
