Pratt 3 p.m cattle salesThe Pratt Livestock Auction, Pratt, Kan., Aug. 2, reported estimated receipts of 2,500 head, according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kan. Compared with last week, feeder steers and heifers under 600 pounds were not enough for a market test. Steers at 600 to 700 pounds, were not enough for a market test, but those weighing 700 to 1000 pounds were steady to $2 higher. Heifers at 600 to 750 pounds were not enough for a market test, although a higher undertone was noted, and those weighing 750 to 800 pounds were $2 higher. Heifers at 800 to 950 pounds were not tested. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 34 head, 649 lbs., 120.00; 11 head, 680 lbs., 123.00; 700 to 750 lbs., 117.25 to 118.25; 750 to 800 lbs., 114.00 to 117.25; 800 to 850 lbs., 113.85 to 117.25; 850 to 900 lbs., 112.00 to 115.00; 900 to 950 lbs., 108.75 to 112.75; 950 to 1000 lbs., 106.50 to 109.00. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 13 head, 638 lbs., 115.00; 650 to 700 lbs., 114.00 to 115.00; 3 head, 727 lbs., 113.50; 750 to 800 lbs., 110.75 to 113.75; 6 head, 939 lbs., 90.00.
