Lexington cattle sales

The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., reported receipts of 1,200 head July 19, according to the USDA-Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News, Kearney, Neb.

There was no comparison to last week, because there was no feeder sale. Steers accounted for 71% and heifers 24% of the offering, with 99% over 600 pounds. Trends were active on all weights of cattle.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 5 head, 611 lbs., 135.00; 78 head, 679 lbs., 126.00; 10 head, 697 lbs., 115.00 calves; 11 head, 704 lbs., 120.25; 760 to 778 lbs., 110.00 to 114.50 (111.17); 801 to 815 lbs., 115.00 to 118.75 (118.22); 57 head, 857 lbs., 116.50; 914 to 934 lbs., 110.00 to 114.00 (113.65). Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 27 head, 838 lbs., 110.25; 16 head, 860 lbs., 109.00.

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 594 lbs., 117.50; 727 to 737 lbs., 102.50 to 106.50 (104.67); 752 to 791 lbs., 110.85 to 113.25 (111.27); 828 to 849 lbs., 107.75 to 109.35 (108.36); 27 head, 983 lbs., 100.75; 24 head, 1010 lbs., 99.75.
