Hereford juniors compete in national contests

More than 600 youth and their families gathered at the eighth annual 2007 Junior National Hereford Expo in Denver July 8 to 14 to show and celebrate the Hereford breed. The western states junior associations of Colorado, California, Nevada, Montana, Washington, Oregon and Idaho hosted the event at the National Western Complex.

In addition to the cattle show, juniors and adults competed in skill-based contests ranging from livestock judging to team fitting, and even a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
