Denison feeder cattle sale
The Denison Feeder Cattle Auction, Denison, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,623 head July 26, compared to 2,823 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa. This was a special feeder cattle sale. No recent feeder cattle sale to establish a trend, however a firm to higher undertone was noted. Buyer demand was good across the all classes and weights, with the strongest competition for 800 to 900 pound steers and heifers. Receipts included 82% feeder cattle over 600 pounds, 43% feeder heifers and 57% feeder steers.
