Apache livestock sales report
Stockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,721 head July 28, compared to 3,509 head last week and 4,997 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steer calves were $3 to $4 higher. Feeder steers were $2 to $3 higher. All heifers were $2 to $3 higher. Good demand on all classes. Slaughter cows were steady to $2 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady to $3 higher. A total of 337 head of cows and bulls sold with 44% going to packers.
