Woodward livestock auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 6,560 head Aug. 20, compared to 7,085 head last week and 3,641 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $1.50 lower. Feeder heifers were steady to $1.50 higher. Steer and heifer calves wee steady. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Fill was average to full. The supply included 51% steers, 45% heifers with 89% over 600 pounds.
