High Plains slaughter newsHigh Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Aug. 19, totaled 203,352 head, compared to 167,128 head last week and 206,330 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo. The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
