Dodge City cattle sales reportWinter Livestock Feeder Cattle Auction, Dodge City, Kan., reported receipts of 2,036 head Aug. 15, compared to 2,329 last week and 3,020 last year, according to the USDA-Kansas Department of Ag Market News, Dodge City. Compared with last week feeder steers at 300 to 700 pounds and heifers at 300 to 600 pounds were not enough for a test, but a steady undertone was noted. Steers at 700 to 1,000 pounds and heifers at 600 to 850 pounds were firm to $1 higher. The feeder supply was 44 percent steers and 56 percent heifers.
