Ada livestock sale notesThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., Aug. 17, reported receipts of 1,820 head, compared to 1,915 head last week and 4,171 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were steady. Demand was good on all classes. Weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium. The supply included 43% heifers and 25% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady to $1 lower. Slaughter bulls were steady. A total of 550 cows and bulls sold with 30% going to packers.
