Aberdeen cattle auction newsThe Hub City Livestock Auction, Aberdeen, S.D., reported receipts of 3,730 head Aug. 22, compared to 3,190 head last week and 1,450 head last year, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared with last week, feeder steers and heifers sold mostly steady to $2 lower. Demand was good supported by a large attendance with many consignments again offered in load lots. Steers comprised 74% of the run, heifers 26%, with 94% over 600 pounds.
