South Central direct sheepThe South Central Direct Sheep sales report for the week ending Aug. 10, showed receipts of 1,800 feeder lambs, 500 slaughter kids and 200 nannies and does, according to the USDA-Texas Department of Agriculture Market News, San Angelo, Texas. Compared to last week feeder lambs were steady. There were not slaughter lambs or slaughter ewes. Replacement ewes were not tested. Slaughter kids were steady. Trading and demand were moderate. Feeder lambs: Texas, 1800 head, Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 70 to 90 lbs., 96.00 to 99.00. Slaughter meat goats: Kids, Texas, 500 head, Selection 1 to 2, 50 to 60 lbs., 100.00 to 105.00. Nannies/does, Texas, 200 head, Selection 1 to 2, 90 lbs., 37.00. Date: 8/16/07
