Apache cattle sales reportStockman's Livestock Inc., Apache, Okla., reported receipts of 2,864 head Aug. 12, compared to 3,032 head last week and 5,489 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steers were steady to $1 higher. Heifers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder cattle were in slightly thin to moderate flesh conditions. The supply included 36% steers, 59% heifers, 4% bulls, and 63% over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady to $1 higher. Slaughter bulls were steady. A total of 486 cows and bulls sold with 42% going to packers.
