Ada livestock sales reportThe Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,600 head Aug. 8, compared to 1,700 head last week and 4,154 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture to USDA-Market News, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady. Feeder heifers were steady to $1 higher. Weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were mostly medium. Demand was good on all classes. The supply consisted of 51% heifers and 34% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 11 head, 411 to 414 lbs., 143.00 to 147.50 (145.04); 5 head, 463 to 465 lbs., 134.00 to 135.00 (134.40); 17 head, 503 to 536 lbs., 120.00 to 129.00 (124.65); 13 head, 558 to 598 lbs., 118.00 to 120.00 (119.22); 600 to 640 lbs., 115.50 to 119.50 (117.94); 7 head, 673 to 682 lbs., 115.50; 8 head, 770 to 786 lbs., 110.00 to 111.25 (110.79). Medium and large frame 2, 10 head, 430 to 444 lbs., 125.00 to 126.00 (125.51); 7 head, 483 to 499 lbs., 126.00 to 129.00 (127.26); 5 head, 603 to 610 lbs., 109.50 to 110.00 (109.80). Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 6 head, 405 to 429 lbs., 130.00 to 133.00 (130.96); 6 head, 518 to 540 lbs., 119.00 to 121.00 (119.65); 5 head, 629 lbs., 112.00. Medium and large frame 2, 6 head, 587 to 597 lbs., 112.00 to 113.00 (112.50).
