In other agribusiness news....First Dakota National Bank, Yankton, S.D., named Scott Robison a Dakota MAC Agri-Business Development Officer of the new First Dakota Loan Production Office in Elk Creek, Neb. John Deere Wind Energy, Johnston, Iowa, hired J. Douglas Duimering as Manager of Business Development for Canada as part of its expansion. The company now provides project development, debt financing and other services similar to those offered in the United States. Americot, Inc., Lubbock, Texas, has hired Thomas Brooks as Director of Quality Assurance and Assistant Breeder at its Seminole, Texas Research and Breeding Facility. Brooks will test the quality of Americot cotton seed and will be involved with the cotton breeding program. U.S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Temple, Texas, annouced Don Gohmert will be the state conservationist in Texas. Gohmert will be responsible for the administration of conservation planning assistance to private landowners, conservation cost-share programs, Resource Conservation and Development, the watershed flood prevention program, Natural Resources Inventory, and soil survey mapping.
