Ada livestock auction report
The Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Okla., reported receipts of 1,370 head Aug. 1, compared to 2,410 head last week and 3,856 head last year, according to the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture-USDA Market Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were steady to $2 lower. Demand was good on all classes. Quality was average to attractive. Weigh-ups were average. Flesh conditions were medium. The supply consisted of 34% heifers and 42% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 310 to 343 lbs., 160.00 to 161.00 (160.38); 19 head, 406 to 438 lbs., 136.50 to 145.00 (139.29); 11 head, 458 to 470 lbs., 130.00 to 136.50 (133.22); 506 to 526 lbs., 122.00 to 129.50 (127.34); 14 head, 550 to 579 lbs., 120.50 to 121.50 (121.08); 606 to 639 lbs., 118.00 to 121.25 (119.20); 660 to 688 lbs., 115.00 to 120.00 (118.10); 8 head, 710 to 728 lbs., 113.00 to 114.75 (114.32); 6 head, 795 lbs., 111.75. Medium and large frame 2, 10 head, 377 to 387 lbs., 140.00 to 144.00 (141.21); 10 head, 478 to 495 lbs., 115.00 to 125.00 (119.49). Feeder bulls: Medium and large frame 1, 8 head, 476 to 496 lbs., 125.00 to 130.00 (127.45); 5 head, 540 lbs., 117.00; 8 head, 618 lbs., 110.00; 8 head, 651 to 698 lbs., 110.50 to 113.50 (112.05).
