Turn your weed trimmer into a submersible pumpThe TF5 Tornado submersible water pump attaches quickly without tools or adapters. It "quick snaps" onto the string trimmer coupler and comes with a standard garden hose connection at the pump housing. Just place the pump housing in the liquid to be transferred and pull the trigger on the string trimmer. It will pump water or other liquids at up to 25 gallon per minute, depending on how far you have to move the water. "It works great for pumping water out of flooded basements, boats, low-lying areas, and so forth," says distributor and inventor Sandy Ochoa. "It'll pump water at least 12 feet up out of a flooded basement, and it'll pump water out through a 100-foot garden hose with no problem" "Traditionally, submersible pumps for removing or transferring liquids, such as water, are self contained units with a motor that has to be water-proofed," says Ochoa. "We eliminated that cost by using the weed trimmer motor as a drive." For more information contact Ochoa Roadrunner Products Inc., 505 24th St., Alamogordo, NM 88310.
