Presho feeder cattle news

The Presho livestock Auction, Presho, S.D., reported receipts of 2,275 head April 19, compared to 3,200 head last week, according to the USDA-South Dakota Department of Agriculture Market News, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Compared to two weeks ago, heifers suitable for replacement sold steady to $1 higher. The remaining classes sold $1 to $3 lower. Some potloads on offer. The offering included 62% steers, 38% heifers, with 94% over 600 pounds.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 515 to 540 lbs., 121.75 to 125.00 (122.44); 604 to 641 lbs., 116.75 to 124.00 (120.83); 657 to 666 lbs., 116.50 to 120.00 (118.18); 724 to 738 lbs., 109.75 to 111.60 (110.69); 762 to 799 lbs., 104.85 to 108.25 (105.78); 837 to 846 lbs., 100.75 to 105.25 (103.22); 64 head, 872 lbs., 100.75; 933 to 935 lbs., 100.25; 951 to 956 lbs., 100.25. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 20 head, 560 to 590 lbs., 115.00 to 116.00 (115.49); 8 head, 665 to 667 lbs., 108.50 to 109.00 (108.69); 706 to 721 lbs., 107.25 to 108.75 (107.78).

Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 524 to 528 lbs., 112.50 to 120.00 (113.54); 604 to 643 lbs., 109.25 to 110.00 (109.89); 650 to 675 lbs., 102.50 to 108.10 (106.31); 722 to 748 lbs., 99.50 to 104.75 (102.15); 761 to 794 lbs., 96.00 to 99.65 (99.16); 806 to 845 lbs., 98.10 to 100.00 (98.65); 851 to 875 lbs., 91.25 to 93.25 (92.23).
