Other grains push wheat bidsGrain and soybean bids were lower for April 23, and wheat saw spillover pressure from other grains, according to the National Grain Market Summary.

Grains inspected for export for week ending April 19: wheat totaled 13.1 million bushels, down 10.2 million bushels; corn 32.4 million bushels , down 1.7 million bushels; Sorghum 1.9 million bushels, down 400 thousand bushels andSoybeans8.5 million bushels, down 5.1 million bushels compared to a week ago. Year to date: wheat totaled 774.3 million bushels down 99.8 million; corn 1339.7 million bushels up 132.2 million; Sorghum 94.1 million bushels down 19.1 million andSoybeans904.7 million bushels up 162.4 million. Crop marketing years begin June 1 for wheat and Sept. 1 for corn, sorghum, and soybeans. In export news, there were no new confirmed export sales to report . In the futures close, Kansas City May wheat was $5.07 1/2, down 6 1/2 cents. Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.08, down 6 cents; Minneapolis, $5.35, down 4 cents; Portland, $6.06 to $6.10, down 1 to 2 cents; St. Louis, $4.78, down 7 cents. Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.35 to $3.36, down 9 cents; Minneapolis, $3.28 1/4, down 9 1/4 cents; southern Iowa, $3.39 1/4 to $3.43 3/4, down 4 3/4 to 5 1/4 cents; Omaha, $3.30 to $3.34, down 9 to 7 cents. Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $6.86, down 2 cents; Minneapolis, $6.75 1/4, down 2 cents; southern Iowa, $6.90 1/4 to $6.90 3/4, unchanged to down 2 cents; central Illinois processors, $6.98 1/4 to $7.11 1/4, down 2 cents. Kansas City wheat prices April 24, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $5.67 1/4 to $5.77 1/4, down 5 1/4 to 10 1/4 cents; 12% protein, $5.67 1/4 to $5.77 1/4, down 10 1/4 cents; 13% protein, $5.67 1/4 to $5.77 1/4, down 10 1/4 cents; 14% protein, $5.67 to $5.77 1/4, down 10 1/4 cents.
