Sioux Falls feeder pigsThe Sioux Falls feeder pig auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., reported receipts of 963 head Sept. 19, compared to 600 head three weeks ago and 427 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D. Compared to two weeks ago, feeder pigs sold mostly sharply lower, with the exception of a couple select consignments steady. Buyer attendance and demand light. Several consignments remained unsold at sale time. All sales based on actual weight and by the head. U.S. 1 to 2: 136 head, 25 lbs., 17.00; 85 head, 47 lbs., 40.50; 84 head, 63 lbs., 45.50. U.S. 1 to 3: 7 head, 37 lbs., 16.00; 32 head, 58 lbs., 16.00 to 18.00 (16.94); 63 head, 64 lbs., 38.00; 49 head, 67 lbs., 38.00; 107 head, 91 lbs., 48.00; 5 head, 104 lbs., 40.00; 37 head, 137 lbs., 46.00.
