Software addition updates farm reports, booklets

Ag Leader Technology, Ames, Iowa, now offers an optional booklet printing module to its precision farming software SMS Advanced. The option allows users to build, save, print and store booklets containing customized reports, charts and analysis results for each individual field or farm operation.

Service providers can create booklets for grain harvest, soil sampling, annual field/operation reports or other tasks.

SMS Advanced Booklet Printing features an easy-to-use wizard that offers a step-by-step setup for designing the booklet. Once set-up and saved, the booklet printing can be rerun again without rebuilding or making new settings. It dynamically builds all the necessary content so the user always has the latest information and results included in the new booklet. The software automatically generates a cover/title page, complete with personalized logos and other information, as well as a table of contents. Booklets can also be saved in standard formats, such as HTML or PDF files, so they can be posted to web pages or sent and stored electronically.
