Nebraska Leafy Spurge Task Force quarterly meeting set

Nebraska

The quarterly meeting of the Nebraska Leafy Spurge Working Task Force will be Nov. 2, at the North Central RC&D meeting room, East Highway 20, Bassett, Neb. The meeting will convene at 12:30 p.m.

Agenda items include a discussion on Sulphur Cinquefoil. Anyone who has information, including acres, on Sulphur Cinquefoil in their area is asked to bring it to the meeting. Any observations on this particular plant would be helpful. If you cannot attend the meeting, please send the information to Nebraska Leafy Spurge Task Force, P.O. Box 130, Bassett, NE 68714 or e-mail it to ncnercd@huntel.net by Nov. 1.

Other items on the agenda include reports from the Biological Control, Legislative, Advisory and Public Relations committees. Reports will be given on the 2006 Ranch Expo and 2006 annual conference held in August in Gering.

Farmers and ranchers are encouraged to attend. Participation in the operations of the organization is vitally important. This organization was created by farmers and ranchers to control the spread of leafy spurge. Input from landowners and renters is vital so your wishes can be implemented.

The meeting is open to the public, and anyone concerned about leafy spurge and other noxious weed control is invited to attend.

For more information contact Judy Engelhaupt at 402-775-2588.
