Woodward cattle auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 4,218 head Nov. 17, compared to 4,025 head last week and 5,712 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Woodward, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $1 to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were not well tested. Steer calves were steady to $2 higher. Heifer calves were $1 to $2 higher except those weighing 550 pounds were $2 lower. Demand was good for all classes. Weigh-ups were average to full. Quality was average to plain, end attractive calves. The supply included 54% steers, 38% heifers with 51% over 600 pounds.
