Woodward livestock auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 7,033 head May 19, compared to 7,293 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers were $1 to $3 higher. Feeder heifers were $2 to $5 higher. Steer calves and stocker steers were steady to $4 higher. Heifer calves and stocker heifers were $2 to $5 higher. Demand was good for all classes. Fill was average to full. Quality was average to plain, few attractive. The supply was comprised of 54% steers, 44% heifers with 84% over 600 pounds.
