The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipt of 7,877 head, compared to 9,900 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Compared to last week, feeder steers were steady to $2.50 higher. Feeder heifers under 750 pounds were $1 to $4 higher, heavier weights were steady to $1 higher. Stocker steers were $5 to $6 higher. Steer calves were $1 to $7 higher. Heifer calves and stockers were $1 to $4 higher. Demand good for all classes. Fill was average to full. Quality was average to plain, end attractive. The supply included 55% steers, 43% heifers with 89% over 600 pounds.
