Tulsa livestock auction reportThe Tulsa Stockyards, Tulsa, Okla., reported receipts of 2,442 head June 19, compared to 2,215 head last week and 1,805 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla. Compared to last week, steer calves were $3 to $5 higher. Feeder steers were $2 to $4 higher. Feeder and heifer calves were steady to $2 higher. Quality was average to attractive. Weigh-ups were mostly average. Demand was very good along with good attendance of buyers. General rains across the state brought a welcome relief to parched pasture grass. Receipts were comprised of 42% steers, 44% heifers, 14% bulls, with 25% of the feeder cattle over 600 pounds. Slaughter cows were steady. Slaughter bulls were steady to $1 higher. A total of 550 cows and bulls sold with 41% going to packers.
