Sioux Falls sheep salesThe Sioux Falls sheep auction, Sioux Falls, S.D., June 19, reported estimated receipts of 600 head with actual receipts nearly 1,075 head, according to the USDA Market News Service, Sioux Falls, S.D. Slaughter lambs were $1 to mostly $2 higher. Slaughter ewes and feeder lambs were mostly weak to $2 lower. Sheep supplies were nearly 42% slaughter lambs with about 39% slaughter ewes and the balance mostly feeder lambs. Slaughter lambs: Wooled, Choice end Prime 2 to 3, 119 to 143 lbs., 97.75 to 100.25. Slaughter ewes: Utility and Good 2 to 3, 26.00 to 32.00, few high dressing, 35.00 to 39.00. Cull 1 to 2, 20.00 to 27.00. Feeder lambs: Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 41 to 66 lbs., 119.00 to 125.00, package fancy, 55 lbs., 131.00; 74 to 85 lbs/. 108.00 to 115.00; 103 to 112 lbs., 96.00 to 98.00. Date: 6/22/06
