High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending June 18, totaled 175,644 head, compared to 200,693 head last week and 217,440 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.

The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.

Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 1,178 head, 1,250 to 1,425 lbs., 78.00 to 83.00 (79.69); 65 to 80% Choice, 4,806 head, 1,250 to 1,400 lbs., 78.00 to 82.00 (78.54); 35 to 65% Choice, 37,109 head, 1,075 to 1,422 lbs., 75.00 to 81.50 (80.11); 0 to 35% Choice, 2,680 head, 1,185 to 1,377 lbs., 73.00 to 81.50 (79.31).
