Woodward livestock auction report

The Woodward Livestock Auction, Woodward, Okla., reported receipts of 3,294 head July 21, compared to 6,700 head last week, according to the USDA Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Okla.

Compared to last week, feeder steers under 750 pounds were steady, heavier weights were $1 to $2 higher. Feeder heifers were steady to $2 higher. Steer calves were $4 to $8 lower. Heifer calves were $2 to $5 lower. Demand was good for feeders, moderate for calves. Fill was average, few full. Quality was average to plain. The supply was comprised of 61% steers, 31% heifers with 73% over 600 pounds.
