Precision ag field day looks at nutrient, weed managementColorado Colorado State University Cooperative Extension in partnership with USDA Agricultural Research Service and M & M Cooperative is hosting an Agricultural Field Day at 10 a.m., Aug. 11. Key topics will address the latest technologies in Precision Ag Management. Location is 4.3 miles east of Hwy 59 OR 20.7 miles west of Hwy 385 on the Vernon Road (County Road 26). Speakers and topics for the event include Dr. Walter Bausch, USDA ARS, In-season Nitrogen Management using Remote Sensing, Dr. Dale Shaner, USDA ARS, Precision Weed Management, Dr. Lori Wiles, USDA ARS, Precision Weed Mapping, Dr. Raj Khosla, CSU Cooperative Extension, Precision Nutrient Management via Management Zones, and Elaine McCallum, Red Hen Farming Systems, Precision Guidance. In addition, Dr. Kim Fleming of M & M Cooperative will be introducing M&M's ProfitZ Variable Rate Application System. Lunch will be served after field presentations at the Irrigation Research Foundation. Date: 7/25/06
