Lexington cattle auction news reportThe Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Neb., July 20, reported receipts of 1,500 head, compared to 1,350 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Neb. There are no comparisons to last week, due to no feeder sale. Demand was active. Steers accounted for 44% and heifers 56% of the offering, with 100% over 600 pounds. Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 631 to 646 lbs., 127.00 to 131.75 (131.03) calves; 6 head, 655 lbs., 130.00 calves; 39 head, 703 lbs., 124.75; 781 to 790 lbs., 118.00 to 120.85 (119.86); 40 head, 843 lbs., 115.50; 883 to 891 lbs., 111.10 to 113.85 (112.73); 86 head, 961 lbs., 106.25. Feeder heifers: Medium and large frame 1, 653 to 668 lbs., 121.50 to 122.00 (121.90); 101 head, 724 lbs., 116.85; 762 to 790 lbs., 113.85 to 117.00 (115.98); 98 head, 826 lbs., 115.50; 863 to 897 lbs., 107.00 to 109.10 (107.71); 29 head, 956 lbs., 99.25; 29 head, 1036 lbs., 99.00.
