Stillwater conference to educate women in agriculture, small businessOklahoma Despite the name, both women and men in agriculture and small business will benefit from sessions lead by leading professionals, in their respective fields, at the Women in Agriculture and Small Business Conference held in Stillwater on March 11. Attendees will be able to choose three of the 13 breakout sessions offered on topics such as business planning, estate planning, stress management, consumer meat judging, organizing a home office, goat herd management/marketing, precision agriculture and farm record keeping. The general session consists of a panel giving tips on how to expect the unexpected. Door prizes, 34 tradeshow booths, and more will be part of the day long event held at the Payne County Expo Center. Tradeshow exhibitors include Udder Farms, Woodland Park Vineyard, Federal Crop Insurance and jewelry and cosmetic vendors. The conference is being planned by numerous state and national agencies under the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
