Sorghum board schedules meetingNebraska The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 1, in Lincoln. The meeting will convene at 9 a.m. in the Department of Agriculture's Platte Conference Room located on 4th Floor of the State Office Building. In addition to regular business, the Board will hear reports on program activities and consider funding requests. A copy of the agenda is available by e-mailing sorghum-bk@email.state.ne.us or by phoning the Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board at 402-471-4276. The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board administers the one-cent per hundredweight check-off, which is assessed on all grain sorghum sold in the state. The board's annual budget is invested in the areas of research, market development, producer education and federal legislation. Date:1/25/06
