High Plains slaughter news

High Plains weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Jan. 22, totaled 195,279 head, compared to 210,290 head last week and 107,095 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.

The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
