St. Joseph feeder pigs

The St. Joseph feeder pig auction, St. Joseph, Mo., reported receipts of 630 head Dec. 19, compared to 477 head last week and 417 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, St. Joseph, Mo.

Compared to last week's higher market, feeder pigs sold fully steady. A good crowd was on hand for a fairly heavy offering, including several large reputation consignments. Prices paid per head on actual weights.

U.S. 1 to 2: package 43 lbs., 27.00; 50 to 60 lbs., 36.25; 60 to 70 lbs., 38.50 to 40.25.

U.S. 1 to 3: 15 to 20 lbs., 12.00 to 13.00; package 31 lbs., 19.00; package 46 lbs., 27.00; 50 to 60 lbs., 30.00; package 75 lbs., 35.00.

U.S. 2 to 3: package 81 lbs., 30.00.
