ASMFRA was founded in 1929 and is the premier association for property economic professionals with over 2,000 members providing management, consultation and valuation services on agricultural and rural assets. Society members manage over 40% of the absentee farmland in the country; provide over 175,000 appraisals a year on 30 million acres of land and offer consulting services for over 5,500 clients who collectively represent over 7 million acres of rural real estate. NAICC, formed in 1978, is the professional association and official voice of independent crop consultants and contract researchers. Alliance members directly influence management decisions on more than 27 million U.S. crop acres. The over 500 members are experts in crop care, integrated crop and pest management and contract research, in addition to biotechnology and sustainable agriculture. ASAC was founded in 1963 and is oriented around raising the standards and image of professional agricultural consultants, which is the fastest growing profession in the agriculture industry. With over 100 members, the consultant role is becoming more and more critical as agriculture enters the fast paced era of technology, specialization, mergers, and reformation.
